Yuval Gotlibovich holds first prizes in national as well as international competitions, including the 2003 Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition (U.K), the 2004 Spring Competitions (Israel) and the 2004 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition (U.S.A) as a member of Trio di Colore with Jimmy Brière on piano and Guy Yehuda on clarinet.

A sought after recitalist, chamber musician and soloist thought the world, Yuval Gotlibovich is one of the most promising and versatile young violists of our time and has toured through North America in Canada and the United States. 

Gotlibovich has collaborated with world renowned artists, including: Menahem Pressler, Marc-André Hamelin, Imre Pallo as well as members of the Cleveland, Orion, and Mendelssohn string quartets among others.

 As a proponent of contemporary music, he frequently presents the premieres of new works for viola, including many which are dedicated to him.

Festivals and Venues include recitals in United States at the World Viola Congress in Minneapolis, Kennedy Centre in Washington, the Ravinia Festival in Illinois, the Ottawa International Chamber Music Festival, Festival of the Sound in Parry-Sound (Ontario), the Orford Center of the Arts in Canada, the Felicia Blumental Festival in Israel, “Are More” in Vigo in Spain and at the Liceu, the Opera Theatre in Barcelona, to name a few.

Gotlibovich has graduated from Indiana University with an Artist Diploma, a Masters Degree and has received the prestigious Performer Certificate. His biggest musical guiding force is violist Atar Arad with whom he studied in the past 5 years.

Future engagements in 2005 include a debut recital in Wigmore Hall in London, and a debut recording for Riax Records.

Gotlibovich is a Professor at Indiana University in Viola Performance.
